If you find hidden damage after opening the box, save all packing materials - including the box. If you accept damaged product and sign off on it as "free and clear" of all damage, and/or the manufacturer may not be able to help you with the freight company. If you see marks, scrapes or crushed corners on the delivery carton, note the possible damage on the waybill before you sign off on it. If ladder rack is damaged at time of delivery, don't accept it. All that is needed if you get some scrapes is a touch up with flat black Rust Oleum or another fine rust preventive paint. Powder-coated racks cannot be warranted against rust. Read the paper work enclosed with the product for complete details. Manufacturer warrants this rack against defects for one year from date of purchase provided the product is assembled, installed and used in accordance with all manufacturer's specifications and instructions. Crossbars, legs & spanner are powder coated satin black. Baseplates, end caps & connector hardware are all carbon steel that is zinc plated and then power coated in satin black. Crossbars are finished in a brushed metallic silver finish.
